The Board of Veeram Securities Limited approved unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, along with a clean Limited Review Report from auditor AKGVG & Associates. Revenue from operations fell sharply to ₹528.43 lakhs from ₹817.48 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a drop of about 35%. However, profit after tax rose to ₹141.23 lakhs from ₹101.19 lakhs, up roughly 40%, driven by lower purchase of stock-in-trade and a favourable inventory adjustment of ₹178.82 lakhs, suggesting the company sold from existing inventory rather than replacing it. Basic EPS improved to ₹0.19 from ₹0.13. Other income was negligible at ₹0.03 lakhs versus ₹43.52 lakhs a year ago.
The sharp drop in revenue is a concern as it points to weaker trading activity in the core business, but the higher profit is largely an inventory effect rather than a sustainable margin improvement. Shareholders should watch whether this quarter was a one-off destocking event or a sign of declining business volumes going forward.
