Virinchi Limited reported Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue from operations of Rs 4,007.34 lakhs, up about 20% from Rs 3,328.46 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Standalone profit after tax rose to Rs 613.07 lakhs (vs Rs 546.47 lakhs), with EPS of Rs 0.60. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew modestly to Rs 7,973.66 lakhs, but consolidated PAT fell sharply to about Rs 43.27 lakhs from Rs 110.81 lakhs a year ago, mainly due to higher depreciation and finance costs. The Board also discussed restructuring its US FinTech SaaS unit 'QFund' into a 100% subsidiary via slump sale, and potentially divesting or IPO-ing part of it to cut consolidated debt and fund expansion of its oncology hospital chain. A follow-up board meeting is scheduled for August 22, 2025. The auditor (P. Murali & Co.) issued an unmodified review report, though results of one subsidiary (Virinchi Capital) were not reviewed by its auditors.
Positive on the standalone side given strong revenue growth and rising profits, but the weak consolidated PAT and rising finance/depreciation costs may weigh on near-term sentiment. The QFund restructuring and potential partial divestment or IPO could be a value-unlocking catalyst for shareholders, while also reducing debt and funding healthcare expansion.
