Virtuoso Optoelectronics reported unaudited financial results for Q2 and H1 FY26 (ended Sep 30, 2025) along with a capacity expansion announcement. Standalone revenue from operations for H1 FY26 was ₹298.96 crore, slightly lower than ₹305.83 crore in H1 FY25. Q2 FY26 standalone revenue came in at ₹97.07 crore, and the company swung to a quarterly loss with standalone PAT of negative ₹3.31 crore, against a profit of ₹6.58 crore in Q1 FY26. H1 FY26 PAT more than halved to ₹3.27 crore from ₹7.50 crore a year earlier. Operating cash flow was negative at around negative ₹26.50 crore for the half year. Separately, the board approved an operational lease with Eltech Appliances in Chennai, adding 0.25 million sets of annual capacity at a ₹7 crore annual lease cost to expand into southern India with entry-level models. The limited review for this period was done by a new auditor, SKVM & Co, who also noted that the March 2025 Ind-AS comparatives are based on restated figures.
The sharp swing to a quarterly loss and a more than 50% drop in half-year profits are negatives for near-term sentiment, while the new Chennai capacity signals growth intent. Investors will likely focus on margin recovery in H2 and the execution of the southern India expansion.
