Virtuoso Optoelectronics has filed the Q3 FY26 monitoring report for its Rs. 140 crore preferential issue of fully convertible warrants to Malabar India Fund Limited at Rs. 455 per warrant. Of the total issue, Rs. 85 crore has been raised so far (initial 25% of Rs. 35 crore in Aug 2025, plus Rs. 30 crore in Sep 2025 and Rs. 20 crore in Nov 2025 from warrant conversions). The entire Rs. 85 crore raised has been utilized with zero unutilized balance. The Monitoring Agency (Infomerics Valuation and Rating) reported no deviation from stated objects and no implementation delays. Of the deployed funds, Rs. 59.15 crore went to long-term working capital, Rs. 19.88 crore to general corporate purposes (mostly Rs. 17.62 crore for channel finance loan repayment), and Rs. 5.97 crore to acquisition of fixed assets.
Clean report with no deviations or delays signals disciplined fund deployment from the preferential raise, which is mildly positive for shareholders as it shows the company is on track with its stated capital plan. However, investors should note that fixed asset acquisition has progressed slowly (only Rs. 5.97 crore of Rs. 28 crore deployed) while working capital and loan repayment have taken priority.
