Vishal Mega Mart's board approved its unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations rose to ₹31,403 crore from ₹25,479 crore in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 23%. Consolidated profit after tax jumped to ₹2,044 crore from ₹1,485 crore, up around 38% year-on-year. On a standalone basis, revenue was nearly flat at ₹16,693 crore, but PAT grew about 35% to ₹1,766 crore. Basic EPS for the quarter stood at ₹0.38 standalone and ₹0.33 consolidated. The board also appointed Chandrasekaran Associates as Secretarial Auditor for 5 years, re-appointed Walker Chandiok & Co LLP as Statutory Auditor for 4 years, and re-appointed Ernst & Young LLP as Internal Auditor for FY25-26.
Strong Q1 results with double-digit profit growth, particularly on the consolidated side, are positive for shareholders and likely to be viewed favorably by the market. The re-appointments of well-known audit firms signal continuity in governance, while the new Secretarial Auditor appointment is a routine regulatory requirement and should not impact the stock.
