VJTF Eduservices Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone and consolidated results. Standalone total income fell sharply to Rs. 289.21 lakhs from Rs. 1,658.98 lakhs in Q1 FY25, mainly because net gain on fair value changes dropped to Rs. 215.33 lakhs from Rs. 1,506.58 lakhs. Standalone profit after tax was Rs. 220.34 lakhs (EPS Rs. 1.25) versus Rs. 861.18 lakhs (EPS Rs. 4.89) a year earlier, while consolidated PAT stood at Rs. 287.94 lakhs with consolidated EPS of Rs. 1.57. The auditor (Chhajed & Doshi) included an emphasis of matter on ongoing Covid-19-related uncertainty and a Rs. 1,584.95 lakhs liability for student fee refunds that continues to be carried on the books. The Board also approved the appointment of M/s. R A N K & Associates as the new statutory auditor for FY 2025-26 after Chhajed & Doshi resigned, subject to shareholder approval.
The sharp revenue and PAT decline is largely driven by lower fair-value gains on investments rather than core school operations, but it still marks weak year-on-year performance. The auditor change mid-year and the lingering Rs. 1,584.95 lakhs student refund liability are items shareholders should monitor closely.
