V-Mart Retail reported total revenue of Rs. 885 crores for Q1 FY26, up 13% from Rs. 786 crores in the same quarter last year. Same-store sales growth (SSSG) was a modest 1%, but adjusting for the early shift of Eid festival into the previous quarter, normalised SSSG was 5% YoY for both V-Mart and Unlimited banners. The company opened 15 new stores and closed 2 during the quarter, taking the total store count to 510 as of June 30, 2025. New store additions were spread across Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Revenue figures are provisional and subject to statutory audit review.
Steady double-digit revenue growth driven mainly by store expansion, with a healthy underlying SSSG of 5% once seasonal distortions are removed. Net positive for shareholders, though headline like-for-like growth looks soft on the surface.
