Vodafone Idea reported Q4FY26 revenue of Rs 11,332 crore (2.9% YoY growth) and EBITDA of Rs 4,889 crore (4.9% YoY growth) with EBITDA margin expanding to 43.1%. The company posted a PAT of Rs 51,970 crore due to a massive Rs 55,622 crore exceptional credit from the reassessment of AGR dues—the government reduced AGR liability from Rs 87,695 crore to Rs 64,046 crore, and the company derecognized Rs 55,622 crore to P&L. Customer ARPU rose 8.3% YoY to Rs 190. The company added 17,300+ new broadband towers during the year, now covering 86.3% population with 4G. Government of India holds 49% stake post-equity infusion, though total equity remains negative at Rs 35,758 crore. ICRA upgraded credit rating to BBB (Positive).
The AGR settlement removes major uncertainty and improves balance sheet significantly, though negative equity and high debt remain concerns. The exceptional item inflates PAT and may attract investor attention, while operational metrics show steady improvement in ARPU and network expansion.
