Voltas Limited has appointed Mr. Sunil Alaric D'Souza as an Additional Director (Non-Independent Non-Executive) with effect from May 14, 2026. He will hold the position until the next Annual General Meeting. D'Souza brings over 33 years of consumer products experience, currently serving as MD & CEO of Tata Consumer Products Limited since April 2020. Prior to this, he was Managing Director at Whirlpool India and spent nearly 15 years at PepsiCo in various leadership roles. He began his career at Hindustan Unilever in 1993. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Madras and is an IIM Calcutta alumnus. He is not related to any existing director of Voltas.
The appointment adds an experienced industry veteran with significant consumer goods and leadership experience to Voltas's Board. This could be positive for governance, though as a Non-Executive Director, he will not be involved in day-to-day operations.
