V A Transport Private Limited, a promoter group company of Vraj Iron and Steel, has merged with Gopal Sponge and Power Private Limited following a court-sanctioned scheme of merger (order dated 18 March 2026). As a result, V A Transport's entire holding of 55,55,500 equity shares (16.84% of the company) in Vraj Iron and Steel has been transferred off-market to Gopal Sponge and Power, effective 27 March 2026. This is an inter-se transfer within the promoter group and not a sale to outside parties. The total share capital and voting capital of Vraj Iron and Steel remain unchanged at Rs. 32.98 crore divided into 3,29,82,619 shares. The aggregate promoter group shareholding in Vraj Iron and Steel stays the same — only the entity within the group that holds the shares has changed.
No material impact on retail shareholders or stock price — this is a purely internal reshuffle within the promoter group with no change in overall promoter ownership or voting control. The shares have simply moved from one promoter entity to another promoter entity as a result of a group-level merger.
