Vraj Iron and Steel Limited has submitted its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26, approved by the Board on August 9, 2025. Revenue from operations grew about 20.7% year-on-year to ₹1,383.01 million (from ₹1,146.01 million in Q1 FY25), with total income at ₹1,403.34 million. However, profit after tax sharply fell to ₹73.26 million from ₹147.71 million a year ago, a drop of roughly 50%, mainly due to higher finance costs (₹52.23 million vs ₹4.96 million) and other expenses. EPS for the quarter stood at ₹2.21 versus ₹5.95 in the same period last year. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications.
While top-line growth looks healthy, the sharp fall in profitability and surge in finance costs are red flags that may pressure the stock and worry shareholders focused on margins. The contrast between strong revenue growth and weakening earnings will likely draw investor attention in the near term.
