Wallfort Financial Services Ltd's Board approved its Q1 FY26 (June 2025) unaudited standalone results. Total revenue from operations came in at ₹2,065.63 lakhs, down about 22% from ₹2,657.82 lakhs in Q1 FY25, mainly due to a sharp fall in brokerage income (₹458.91 lakhs vs ₹642.36 lakhs) and other operating income. However, net gain on fair value changes jumped to ₹1,153.52 lakhs from ₹612.35 lakhs, which cushioned the bottom line. Profit after tax stood at ₹1,527.51 lakhs (EPS of ₹15.77), compared to ₹1,996.77 lakhs (EPS of ₹20.61) in the same quarter last year. Notably, Q1 FY26 marks a strong recovery from the loss of ₹1,642.40 lakhs reported in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25). The statutory auditors issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications.
Short-term shareholders may note the year-on-year decline in both revenue and profit, but the swing back to profitability after last quarter's loss and the strong fair-value gains are positives. The stock may see mixed reactions given the YoY earnings contraction despite sequential improvement.
