Websol Energy reported strong H1 FY26 results, with revenue from operations rising 51.7% year-on-year to Rs. 387 crore, driven by higher solar cell and module sales. H1 EBITDA margin expanded to 45.4% and profit after tax jumped 74.9% YoY to Rs. 114 crore, translating to an EPS of Rs. 26.9. Q2 FY26 revenue came in at Rs. 168 crore, up 17.2% YoY but down 23.1% sequentially due to an eight-day one-time shutdown for integrating a new cell line and festive-season logistics slowdown in West Bengal. The company commissioned a new 600 MW Mono PERC solar cell line at Falta, taking total cell capacity to 1,200 MW, and the Board approved a Rs. 3,000 crore expansion plan to scale up to 5.2 GW of cells and 4.5 GW of modules by June 2028. A 1:10 stock split was also approved, effective November 14, to improve retail participation and liquidity.
Strong H1 growth, healthy margins above 45%, and a clear multi-year capacity roadmap are positive for the long-term growth story, while the Q2 sequential dip and large capex commitments may weigh on near-term sentiment. The 1:10 stock split should improve liquidity and retail accessibility of the stock.
