Welcast Steels reported audited results for Q4/FY25 ended March 31, 2025, swinging from a profit of ₹524.85 lakhs last year to a net loss of ₹33.74 lakhs this year. Revenue from operations fell to ₹8,450.30 lakhs from ₹9,107.30 lakhs, a decline of roughly 7%, while profit before tax moved from a ₹700.84 lakh profit to a ₹35.35 lakh loss. EPS turned negative at ₹(5.29) versus ₹82.24 previously, and net cash from operating activities turned negative at ₹(374.47) lakhs versus ₹380.84 lakhs last year. The Board declared no dividend for FY25 and fixed the 51st AGM for September 10, 2025. It also appointed Tushar Vora & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years (FY26–FY30), subject to shareholder approval. Statutory auditor Dagliya & Co. issued an unmodified/unqualified opinion on the results.
A sharp swing into loss, declining revenue, negative operating cash flow, and the absence of any dividend are clearly negative for shareholders. The unqualified audit opinion provides some comfort on reporting integrity, but the deterioration in fundamentals is likely to weigh on sentiment.
