Welcure Drugs & Pharmaceuticals reported Q1FY26 revenue of Rs 299.91 crores, a roughly 1300% jump from Rs 21.21 crores in the previous quarter (Q4FY25). Net profit rose to Rs 23.29 crores, up about 830% sequentially from Rs 2.5 crores and a turnaround from a Rs 0.34 crore loss in the same quarter last year. EPS stood at Rs 2.07, compared with a negative Rs 0.26 a year ago. The surge came from seven export-sourcing assignments totalling Rs 299.91 crores that the company executed as a procurement agent earning a flat 5% commission, keeping the business asset-light and debt-free. The company also holds a Rs 517 crore sourcing mandate from Thailand-based Fortune Sagar Impex, expected to add around Rs 25.85 crores in service income during FY26, and has appointed three new directors to its board.
The headline numbers look very strong and could boost short-term sentiment, but the revenue jump is driven by export-sourcing commissions rather than core product sales, so investors should watch whether this fee-based model delivers consistent earnings in coming quarters.
