Welspun Living's board approved acquiring a 35% stake in Welspun Corporate Services Limited (WCSL) for Rs. 35,000 (3,500 shares of Rs. 10 each), with the remaining 65% to be held by other Welspun Group entities. WCSL, incorporated in June 2024 with nil turnover, will serve as a centralized corporate services platform for the group, handling HR, legal, taxation, and advisory functions. This is a related party transaction, and the agreement will not affect the company's management or control. In a management change, CHRO Rajesh Jain resigned effective March 31, 2026, and will be replaced by Sonia Sharma as Vice President – HR from April 1, 2026; Sharma is an internal hire, currently CHRO at Welspun One Logistics Parks with over two decades of Welspun Group experience. The board also more than doubled capital expenditure for renewable energy transmission to the Anjar facility, raising it from Rs. 75 crore to Rs. 159.38 crore.
The CHRO transition is a routine internal succession with continuity from within the Welspun Group, so no major disruption is expected. The sharply higher capex commitment (over 2x increase) for green power transmission signals greater near-term spending but supports long-term cost savings and sustainability goals. The WCSL acquisition is small in monetary value but is structurally significant as it creates a centralized services arm for the group.
