Welspun Living Limited reported Q4 FY26 revenue of Rs. 2,451 crore, down 7.4% YoY, with net profit of Rs. 104 crore. For the full year FY26, revenue fell 11.5% to Rs. 9,468 crore and net profit dropped 68% to Rs. 204 crore due to US tariff disruptions and weak global demand. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.10 per equity share (10% on face value of Re. 1) for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM, with a record date of July 10, 2026. Separately, the Board approved a share buyback of up to 1.44 crore shares at Rs. 175 per share for an aggregate amount not exceeding Rs. 252 crore, representing 1.50% of paid-up capital. The company also approved acquiring a 26% stake in CleanMax Dhyuthi Private Limited for Rs. 760 lakhs from a promoter group entity, to source renewable energy for its Vapi factory. Additionally, there was a management change with the resignation of COO Mr. Altaf Jiwani and appointment of Mr. Keyur Parekh as Whole-time Director.
The buyback at Rs. 175 per share signals management confidence and offers a direct return to shareholders. The low dividend of Re. 0.10 per share is minimal and unlikely to significantly impact shareholder returns. The FY26 profit decline of 68% YoY reflects challenging business conditions, though Q4 showed sequential recovery.
