Welspun Specialty Solutions reported Q4 FY25 revenue of Rs 208.5 crore, up 33% year-on-year, with EBITDA rising 5% YoY and 39% QoQ to Rs 18.1 crore. Cash PAT recovered strongly to Rs 7.6 crore in Q4 from just Rs 0.6 crore in Q3. However, the full year remained weak, with FY25 EBITDA down 27% YoY at Rs 56.2 crore and the company slipping into a marginal pre-tax loss of Rs 4 crore versus a Rs 28.6 crore profit last year. Management highlighted a Rs 350 crore rights issue that was oversubscribed 3.41x, with proceeds earmarked for deleveraging, de-bottlenecking, and upgrades. The company secured its largest-ever single order worth Rs 232 crore (4,050 MT) from BHEL for super-critical power plant boiler tubes, and the order book hit its highest level ever at Rs 720 crore.
Short-term sentiment is positive as Q4 shows a clear operational recovery and the BHEL mega-order strengthens revenue visibility, though weak full-year numbers and lingering global demand softness from US tariffs keep caution warranted. The deleveraging via rights issue is a constructive step for balance sheet health.
