Western Carriers (India) Limited has published its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. Total income from operations grew 6% to Rs 18,292.38 million from Rs 17,257.20 million in the previous year. However, net profit after tax declined significantly by 40% to Rs 388.17 million from Rs 651.30 million in FY2025. Basic EPS dropped to Rs 3.81 per share from Rs 7.16 per share in the previous year. The company also announced a buyback of equity shares with record date fixed as May 22, 2026, and tendering period starting June 4, 2026. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board of Directors on May 16, 2026.
The sharp decline in profitability despite revenue growth indicates deteriorating margins, which may negatively impact the stock price. The announced buyback offer could provide some support to shareholders by offering a potential premium exit.
