Whirlpool of India reported Q4 FY26 consolidated revenue of Rs 2,181 crore, up 9% YoY, driven by strong recovery in H2. Full-year revenue grew 1.4% to Rs 8,034 crore, with H1 impacted by weak summer and competitive pricing. However, profitability declined significantly: Q4 EBITDA fell 34% to Rs 121 crore and PBT dropped 29% to Rs 110 crore due to regulatory headwinds (E-waste provisions, energy transition costs), war-led commodity inflation, and adverse AC mix. Full-year EBITDA fell 12.6% to Rs 481 crore and PBT declined 12% to Rs 426 crore. Subsidiary Elica PB India delivered strong growth with 30% revenue and 50% PBT growth in Q4. The company achieved market leadership in direct cool refrigerators and #2 position in top-load washers.
Revenue momentum is positive but margin compression from regulatory costs and commodity inflation is a concern. The strong H2 recovery and market share gains are encouraging, but investors should monitor if pricing actions can offset ongoing cost headwinds in FY27.
