Whirlpool of India reported its Q1 FY2025-26 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs. 2,432 Cr, down 2.6% year-on-year, while consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose 0.6% to Rs. 146.1 Cr and profit before tax (PBT) rose 0.3% to Rs. 196.4 Cr. Consolidated EBITDA was Rs. 211.1 Cr, up 0.1% YoY, with operational EBITDA growing 11.2% before a Rs. 23.3 Cr additional provision for new E-Waste regulations. Standalone revenue fell 2.8% to Rs. 2,317.5 Cr, while standalone PAT rose 0.8% to Rs. 135.1 Cr. The company attributed the revenue dip to a sharp industry decline in air conditioners and refrigerators due to a poor summer and early monsoon, but said it gained market share in refrigerators and washing machines through product innovation and its P4G cost productivity program.
Headline numbers show mild profit growth despite a revenue dip, but the underlying operational performance is much stronger, with EBITDA up 11-13% on a like-for-like basis before a one-time E-Waste provision. The market share gains in core categories are a positive signal, though the weak industry demand for cooling products remains a concern near-term.
