Whirlpool of India reported a Q3 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 1,624 Cr, up 3.8% YoY, with EBITDA rising 47.3% to Rs 65.3 Cr (4% margin) and PBT before exceptional items up 31.9% to Rs 48.2 Cr. Reported PBT fell ~60% due to a one-time wage code provision of Rs 33.4 Cr. Consolidated (including Elica) Q3 revenue grew 4% to Rs 1,774 Cr with EBITDA up 31.2% at Rs 90.9 Cr. Management highlighted a 30% gross margin achieved through the P4G cost takeout program, 320 bps gross margin expansion over 9M FY26 vs FY23, and 4 out of 6 quarters of negative working capital. Market share gains were retained in refrigerators and washers, AC business grew over 50%, and front-load washer volumes rose 1.5x. A 30-year exclusive brand license with Whirlpool Corporation was secured alongside technology access until March 2029.
The strong operational performance with 47% EBITDA growth signals margin recovery and effective cost management, though the one-time wage provision weighs on reported earnings. The long-term brand and technology agreement with the parent company removes a key overhang and underpins multi-year growth visibility for shareholders.
