White Organic Agro's board, at its meeting on 30th May 2025, approved the audited financial results for Q4 and FY25. Revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs. 1,963.31 lakhs in FY25 from Rs. 3,345.24 lakhs in FY24, a drop of around 41%. Despite the revenue decline, the company swung to a profit after tax of Rs. 173.06 lakhs (vs Rs. 117.17 lakhs last year), aided by lower costs and other income of Rs. 473.53 lakhs. Q4 PAT stood at Rs. 38.44 lakhs, a turnaround from a loss of Rs. 119.16 lakhs in Q4 FY24. EPS for the year rose to Rs. 0.49 from Rs. 0.33. However, the auditor (Gupta Raj & Co.) issued a qualified opinion flagging two issues: non-provision of a doubtful loan of Rs. 201.91 lakhs (related to Future Farms LLP, outstanding since 2021), and non-transfer of Rs. 45,669 of unpaid dividend from FY 1997-98 to the IEPF. Cash flow from operations remained negative at Rs. 446.75 lakhs.
The qualified auditor opinion and sizeable unrecovered loan of Rs. 201.91 lakhs are red flags that may concern investors, while negative operating cash flow signals working capital stress. On the positive side, the company reported a sharp turnaround in profitability and PAT growth of nearly 48%, which could support short-term sentiment. Overall, mixed signals — investors should weigh the governance concerns against the improved bottom line.
