Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath advocated for diversified investing via ETFs over concentrated stock portfolios, citing that the Nifty IT index fell around 8 percent over five years while TCS declined by about 40 percent. The IT sector rebounded sharply on July 2 with the Nifty IT index surging over 4 percent, led by Infosys up 5.1 percent, HCLTech up 4 percent, and TCS up 3.2 percent. Despite the recovery, the Nifty IT index remains the worst-performing sectoral index, down 30.6 percent, amid ongoing concerns over AI-led disruption and slowing discretionary spending.
