Yash Highvoltage Limited has completed the acquisition of 20,42,754 equity shares (50%) of Sukrut Electric Company Private Limited at a cash consideration of approximately Rs. 5.24 Crores. Post-acquisition, Sukrut has become a 50:50 joint venture between Yash Highvoltage and Quality Power Electrical Equipments Limited (also a listed company). Sukrut, incorporated in 1981, manufactures electrical equipment and reported a turnover of Rs. 27.44 Crore in FY25 with a paid-up capital of Rs. 40.85 Crore. The Share Purchase Agreement was signed on October 6, 2025 and the transaction was completed on January 9, 2026. The acquisition is in the same line of business as Yash Highvoltage and is not a related-party transaction.
This JV expands Yash Highvoltage's presence in the electrical equipment manufacturing space and brings in Quality Power Electrical Equipments as a strategic JV partner, which could strengthen business synergies. The deal size (Rs. 5.24 Cr) is small relative to the company's operations, so material financial impact may be limited, but strategic value depends on Sukrut's future contribution.
