ZF Steering Gear India has filed an application with BSE seeking a No-Objection Certificate to reclassify three individuals from the 'Promoter' category to the 'Public' category under SEBI Listing Regulations. The three promoters are Mrs. Amita Jinendra Munot (1.62%), Mr. Piyush Jinendra Munot (1.28%), and Mr. Yash Munot (1.24%), together holding about 4.14% of the company's equity. The Board had already approved this reclassification request on September 8, 2025, and earlier disclosures were made on August 5 and August 12, 2025. The reclassification is now pending BSE approval.
This is largely an administrative/categorisation change rather than a stake sale, so it is unlikely to materially affect share price. Once approved, public shareholding will technically rise by about 4.14%, marginally improving free float and could make the stock more broadly investable for institutional investors.
