Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services has received an Assessment Order and Notice of Demand of Rs. 6,60,51,200 (about Rs. 6.6 crore) under Section 156 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, for Assessment Year 2024-25. The Income Tax Department passed the order under Section 143(3) and made ad-hoc additions to the company's taxable income. The company plans to file an appeal before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) / National Faceless Appeal Centre (NFAC). Management has stated the demand is based on ad-hoc additions and will not have any material impact on financials or operations, and it believes it has strong grounds to secure a favourable outcome.
