Zee Media Corporation's Board, at its May 5, 2025 meeting, approved the audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025. Standalone revenue from operations for FY25 stood at Rs. 45,488 lakhs (marginally lower than Rs. 45,769 lakhs in FY24), while standalone loss after tax widened to Rs. (10,033) lakhs from Rs. (8,599) lakhs a year ago. Consolidated loss was Rs. (11,942) lakhs. The statutory auditor (Ford Rhodes Parks & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified opinion but flagged a material uncertainty related to going concern, citing losses and negative working capital. The Board also re-appointed Chandra Wadhwa & Co. as Cost Auditors for FY 2025-26.
Persistent and widening losses combined with a going-concern flag from the auditor are negative signals for shareholders. However, capital-raising steps (warrants subscription of Rs. 5,000 lakhs already received from FPIs and proposed FCCBs up to USD 4.66 crore) may provide liquidity support, though execution risk remains high.
