Zen Technologies reported muted FY26 performance with consolidated revenue declining to ₹687.69 crore from ₹973.64 crore in FY25, as order conversion timing was delayed beyond management expectations. Despite lower revenue, EBITDA margins improved to 48.37% (vs 44.36% in FY25), and PAT came in at ₹193.45 crore. The company ended FY26 with a strong consolidated order book of ₹1,336.04 crore, including ₹431.36 crore in new orders secured during Q4 alone. Management highlighted structural transformation over two years, expanding to five defence capabilities including counter-drone solutions, automated weapons stations, and combat robotics. Subsidiaries contributed to consolidated earnings, validating past capital allocation decisions. Management stated FY27 execution is clearly visible as the majority of the order book is scheduled for delivery next year.
The significant revenue decline raises near-term concerns, but the strong order book of ₹1,336 crore and improved margins suggest better days ahead for FY27. Management's explicit guidance on FY27 execution visibility provides a positive signal for shareholders as the defence ordering cycle appears to be normalizing.
