Zen Technologies reported stellar FY25 results, with standalone revenue from operations more than doubling to Rs. 930.67 crores (up 116% YoY) and net profit jumping to Rs. 262.95 crores (up 103% YoY) from Rs. 129.23 crores in FY24. Basic EPS rose to Rs. 30.09 from Rs. 15.61, while the order book stood healthy at around Rs. 691.94 crores. The company made several strategic acquisitions in Q4, including 76% of Applied Research International (Rs. 88.50 cr), 51% of Vector Technics (Rs. 25 cr), 45.33% of Bhairav Robotics (Rs. 4 cr), and invested USD 10 million in its US subsidiary. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 2 per share (200% on face value of Rs. 1), and the statutory auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
A blockbuster year with revenue and profits more than doubling, supported by a strong order pipeline and aggressive inorganic expansion, which should be positive for the stock. The clean audit opinion and healthy dividend payout reinforce shareholder confidence, though profitability margins have compressed somewhat on higher operating expenses, employee costs, and a five-fold jump in finance costs tied to acquisition funding.
