ZIM Laboratories reported Total Operating Income of ₹3,744 Mn for FY26, down 1.2% YoY. EBITDA declined 16.4% to ₹414 Mn with margins compressing to 11.1% from 13.1% in FY25. PAT fell sharply by 52% to ₹58 Mn. Management attributed the decline to geopolitical disruptions in MENA (which contributed 35% vs prior year), increased raw material, utility and employee costs due to inflation, and onboarding of senior talent. Pharma business mix increased to 80% of revenue (from 75%), with exports at 84%. NIP + OTF contribution declined to ₹479 Mn from ₹624 Mn due to deferred EU launches following failed EU GMP audit. R&D investment remained strong at 8.3% of revenue (₹311 Mn). The company completed CAPA remediation and filed for 57 products with 34 marketing authorizations received. A ₹35 crore equity issuance to Florintree Trinex LLP was approved.
Margin compression and sharp PAT decline signal near-term earnings pressure. However, strong regulatory filing momentum and completed CAPA remediation may support future revenue recovery. The preferential equity issuance dilutes existing shareholders but strengthens the balance sheet.
