Zuari Industries has published newspaper notices (Business Standard and Lokmat on 12 May 2026) informing shareholders that shares with unclaimed/unpaid dividends for seven consecutive years (FY 2018-19 onwards) will be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). Individual communications have been sent to affected shareholders whose dividend remains unclaimed. Shareholders have until 4 October 2026 to claim their unpaid dividends from the company's RTA (Zuari Finserv Limited) and avoid transfer of their shares to IEPF. The detailed list of affected shareholders with folio numbers is available on the company's website. Physical share certificate holders will receive new certificates before the transfer, and demat shareholders will have their accounts debited via corporate action.
Shareholders with unclaimed dividends for FY 2018-19 and subsequent years must act before 4 October 2026 or lose their shares to IEPF. While this is routine compliance, affected shareholders face permanent loss of shareholding if they miss the deadline. The impact on the stock price is neutral as this is a standard regulatory requirement affecting only a small number of inactive shareholders.
