Zydus Lifesciences Limited has completed its full subscription commitment into Torrent Urja 25 Private Limited under the Share Subscription and Shareholders' Agreement. The company and its subsidiaries invested Rs. 38.65 million in Tranche 1 (completed in June 2025) and an additional Rs. 90.18 million in Tranches 2, 3 and 4 on May 19, 2026. Total investment across all four tranches is Rs. 128.83 million, giving Zydus and its subsidiaries approximately 44.12% of Torrent Urja 25's paid-up share capital. The transaction is now fully consummated.
This is a minority strategic investment in an unlisted entity and is unlikely to have any immediate material impact on Zydus Lifesciences' stock price or financials, as the total investment is relatively small at under Rs. 13 crore.
