Adani Ports has announced the final results of its cash tender offers to buy back parts of three series of its US dollar-denominated Senior Notes. The offers covered up to US$200 million of the 4.0% Notes due 2027, up to US$125 million of the 4.20% Notes due 2027, and up to US$125 million of the 4.375% Notes due 2029 — a total of up to US$450 million. Before the early tender deadline of July 29, 2025, the company accepted US$154.16 million of the 4.0% Notes and US$105.22 million of the 4.375% Notes; the 4.20% Notes were oversubscribed and no further amounts were accepted after the early date. After the deadline, an additional US$700,000 of the 4.0% Notes and US$950,000 of the 4.375% Notes were validly tendered and will be accepted in full without proration. Final settlement is expected on or about August 18, 2025.
This is a routine liability management exercise where APSEZ is buying back its own dollar bonds, which could modestly reduce its future interest outflows and outstanding debt. For shareholders, it signals active debt portfolio management, but the amounts involved are not large enough to materially change the company's financial position.
