Adani Ports has shared a credit rating update from CARE Ratings Limited covering its various debt facilities. The agency reaffirmed the highest AAA rating with a Stable outlook for proposed Non-Convertible Debentures of Rs. 5,000 crore and existing NCDs of Rs. 11,252 crore. Long-term and short-term bank facilities totalling Rs. 10,020 crore were also reaffirmed at CARE AAA/Stable and CARE A1+ respectively, along with Rs. 2,500 crore in long-term bank facilities and Rs. 6,700 crore in commercial paper. All ratings were reaffirmed, meaning no change from previous levels. CARE AAA is the highest investment-grade rating, reflecting strong financial health and low default risk.
The reaffirmation of the highest AAA credit rating signals continued strong creditworthiness and low borrowing costs, which is positive for shareholders and bondholders. There is no negative impact since no rating action involved a downgrade or watch placement.
