Infomerics Ratings has reaffirmed Akme Fintrade's credit rating at IVR BBB+/Stable across existing bank facilities and non-convertible debentures (NCDs), and assigned the same rating to a new proposed NCD issue. Total rated facilities amount to Rs. 450 crore, including an enhanced term loan (raised from Rs. 49.87 crore to Rs. 93.80 crore), a proposed term loan of Rs. 105 crore, existing NCDs of Rs. 50 crore, and new proposed NCDs of Rs. 200 crore. The reaffirmation reflects healthy earnings (PAT up to Rs. 33.23 crore in FY25 from Rs. 18.53 crore), 45% YoY AUM growth to Rs. 618.61 crore, improving asset quality (GNPA down to 2.77% from 3.63%), and strong capitalisation (CRAR at 48.80%). Concerns remain over geographical concentration in Rajasthan (~62% of portfolio) and average asset quality in the vehicle loan segment.
The rating reaffirmation signals steady credit quality and supports the company's ability to raise debt at current costs. Shareholders may view this as neutral to mildly positive, given the company is expanding its borrowing capacity (new Rs. 200 crore NCD issue) to fund further AUM growth, though concentration risks in Rajasthan warrant monitoring.
