AU Small Finance Bank has partnered with Intellect Design Arena to adopt its Purple Fabric AI platform, marking a strategic move to become an AI-first bank. The platform will serve as the bank's enterprise AI foundation, enabling domain-specific AI agents across business functions. The bank will also use PF Credit agents for real-time credit assessment and faster lending decisions. AU SFB operates 2,790 banking touchpoints across 21 states serving over 1.2 crore customers, with total loans of ₹1,40,327 crore as of March 2026. The bank has received in-principle RBI approval to transition into a Universal Bank.
The partnership strengthens AU SFB's technology infrastructure and could improve operational efficiency, credit decisioning speed, and risk assessment capabilities, supporting long-term competitive positioning in digital banking.
