Bajaj Auto's wholly-owned Dutch subsidiary, Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV), has pre-paid outstanding loans taken from four international banks in May 2025. The original borrowing was Euro 666 million for one year, used to fund investment activities. On 6 March 2026, BAIH BV pre-paid Euro 480 million owed to Citigroup and Standard Chartered, fully terminating those two loan agreements. Additionally, it made part-prepayments of Euro 215 million to JP Morgan Chase and Euro 54 million to DBS Bank. In total, roughly Euro 749 million has been repaid, well ahead of the one-year loan maturity.
Early repayment of nearly the entire Euro 666 million borrowing signals strong liquidity at the subsidiary level, reduces future interest outgo, and reflects confidence in funding its investment activities from internal sources. This is a positive development for shareholders, though the impact on the listed stock is likely modest since the borrowing was at the subsidiary level.
