Bajaj Auto Limited will invest an additional Euro 125 million (approximately Rs. 1,199.92 crore) into its wholly owned Netherlands-based subsidiary, Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV). The Investment Committee of the Board approved this on 15 May 2025, and RBI approval for the overseas investment has already been obtained. The funds will be used to support BAIH BV's future investment opportunities. There is no change in ownership — BAIH BV will continue to remain a 100% subsidiary. BAIH BV had a turnover of Rs. 19.09 crore in FY24 and a net worth of Rs. 5,487.75 crore as of 31 March 2024.
This is an internal capital infusion into an existing wholly owned subsidiary and does not change the company's ownership structure. It signals Bajaj Auto's readiness to deploy capital into overseas investment opportunities through its Dutch arm, which could benefit shareholders if those investments generate good returns, but it does not directly impact the stock in the near term.
