Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 3.66 lakh units in July 2025, up 3% from 3.54 lakh units in July 2024. Domestic sales fell sharply by 13% to 1.83 lakh units, with the two-wheeler domestic segment dropping 18% (1.39 lakh vs 1.69 lakh). Exports saved the month, rising 28% overall to 1.83 lakh units, driven by a 22% jump in two-wheeler exports and a 79% surge in commercial vehicle exports. Commercial vehicle sales grew 23% YoY overall. For the year-to-date (Apr-Jul 2025), total volumes are up just 1%, with domestic sales down 9% and exports up 19%.
The steep domestic two-wheeler decline (-18%) signals weak rural and urban demand, which is a concern for margins and revenue. However, strong export growth (+28%) and CV segment outperformance provide a cushion, keeping overall volumes slightly positive — a mixed bag for shareholders.
