Bajaj Auto's wholly owned subsidiary Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV) has fully repaid Euro 80 million to JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. and DBS Bank Ltd., resulting in termination of loan agreements with these two banks on 18 May 2026. This repayment was made possible after BAIH AG (step-down subsidiary, formerly Pierer Bajaj AG) prepaid all outstanding dues to BAIH BV under a Euro 50 million shareholder loan. The original bank loans of Euro 666 million were taken in May 2025 for investment activities. Prior to this, Euro 480 million was prepaid in March 2026, terminating agreements with Citigroup and Standard Chartered. The KTM AG restructuring process appears to be progressing as loans are being repaid ahead of schedule.
Positive for shareholders - the company is systematically paying off debt ahead of schedule, strengthening the balance sheet of its European investment structure. This reduces financial risk and indicates successful execution of the KTM restructuring plan.
