Bajaj Consumer Care filed its Q4 and FY25 investor presentation detailing financial results and business updates. On a standalone basis, FY25 net sales fell 2.5% YoY to ₹927.7 Cr, EBITDA declined 16.2% to ₹136.3 Cr, and PAT dropped 18% to ₹130.1 Cr. Q4 FY25 showed a recovery with revenue up 4.2% YoY to ₹239.8 Cr, though EBITDA and PAT still dipped 9.6% and 15.6% respectively. Gross margin improved sharply sequentially (+290 bps QoQ to 54.2% standalone) supported by price hikes in Coconut Oil to offset copra inflation. The Almond Drops Hair & Skin range posted strong growth of 73% YoY in Q4 and 46% in FY25, while international business surged 30% in Q4 led by Bangladesh (+32%) and ROW (+107%). The company disclosed progress on the Vishal Personal Care (Banjara's brand) acquisition, with 49% stake already acquired and balance 51% expected in Q1 FY26, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Mixed signals for shareholders: FY25 was a weak year with declining sales and profits, but Q4 shows signs of recovery in topline and sequential margin expansion. The Banjara's acquisition expands the brand portfolio into skin/hair care and could be a growth lever, while strong international momentum is a positive. Expect near-term focus on margin recovery and integration of VPCL.
