Bajaj Finance shared its Q4 FY25 results and FY26 outlook. AUM grew 26% to ₹4.17 lakh crore, with 10.7 million loans booked and 4.7 million new customers added. Reported PAT rose 19% to ₹4,546 crore and PBT rose 11% to ₹5,647 crore, though both were affected by one-timers: a ₹359 crore additional ECL provision (annual model refresh) and a ₹348 crore tax reversal. ROA was 4.6% and ROE 19.1%, with GNPA at 0.96% and net NPA at 0.44%. The board recommended a share split (₹2 to ₹1), a 4:1 bonus issue, a final dividend of ₹44/share, and a special interim dividend of ₹12/share funded by BHFL listing gains. S&P upgraded the standalone outlook to BBB- positive. FY26 guidance calls for AUM growth of 24-25%, stable NIM, 10-15 bps fall in cost of funds, 40-50 bps improvement in OPEX/NTI, credit costs of 1.85-1.95%, and ROA/ROE of 4.4-4.6% and 19-20% respectively. Long-term ROA range was widened to 4.3-4.7% and ROE to 19-21% (from 21-23%), reflecting surplus capital.
Shareholders gain from the 4:1 bonus, share split, and combined ₹56/share in dividends, with the stock split likely improving retail liquidity. FY26 guidance signals optimism on profit growth and credit cost normalisation, while the S&P outlook upgrade and management transition to Anup Saha are constructive signals. Widened long-term ROA/ROE corridors reflect honest recalibration given surplus capital from the BHFL listing.
