Bajaj Finserv's Board approved its Q1 FY26 results on July 25, 2025, reporting an all-time high consolidated profit after tax of ₹2,789 crore, up 30% from ₹2,138 crore in Q1 FY25. Consolidated total income grew 13% to ₹35,451 crore. Standalone PAT fell to ₹329.92 crore from ₹633.04 crore, largely due to lower dividend income from subsidiaries, partially offset by a ₹40.21 crore tax credit from a Section 80M re-assessment. Key subsidiaries delivered strong growth: Bajaj Finance PAT up 20% to ₹4,699 crore with AUM rising 25% to ₹4,41,450 crore; Bajaj Allianz General Insurance PAT up 15% to ₹660 crore; and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance PAT up 76% to ₹171 crore with net VNB up 39%. The auditor (KKC & Associates) issued an unmodified review opinion. Acquisition of 26% stake from Allianz SE in the insurance JVs has received CCI and IRDAI approvals.
The record-high quarterly consolidated PAT and broad-based growth across financing, general insurance, and life insurance businesses signal strong operational momentum, likely positive for shareholder sentiment. The standalone PAT decline is not a concern as it reflects timing of subsidiary dividends rather than business weakness. Progression of the Allianz stake buyout and strong solvency ratios (BAGIC 334%, BALIC 343%) further strengthen the long-term value proposition.
