Bank of Baroda has allotted 10,00,000 non-convertible, unsecured, redeemable bonds (Series I) worth Rs. 10,000 crores at a face value of Rs. 1 lakh each. The bonds carry a coupon rate of 7.10% per annum and are rated, listed, and senior in nature, issued specifically for green infrastructure purposes. The issue opened and closed on the same day, 4 March 2026, on the NSE Electronic Book Platform, and was allotted to 15 investors on 5 March 2026.
This Rs. 10,000 crore green infrastructure bond raise will strengthen Bank of Baroda's long-term funding base for environmentally sustainable projects without diluting equity. For shareholders, the move supports the bank's capital adequacy and sustainable finance portfolio, with no immediate dilution risk to equity holders.
