Bank of Baroda has revised its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rate (MCLR) across various tenors, effective 12 July 2025. The overnight MCLR has been reduced by 5 basis points from 8.15% to 8.10%. MCLR for one-month, three-month, six-month, and one-year tenors remain unchanged at 8.30%, 8.50%, 8.75%, and 8.90% respectively. This is a routine lending rate revision and the first change in this cycle affects only the shortest tenor.
A marginal cut in the overnight MCLR makes very short-term loans slightly cheaper for borrowers, but since other tenors are unchanged, the impact on overall lending rates and net interest margins is minimal. Shareholders are unlikely to see any material effect on earnings or stock price from this revision.
