Bank of Baroda has revised its Baroda Repo Based Lending Rate (BRLLR) downward by 50 basis points, from 8.65% to 8.15%, effective from 7 June 2025. The reduction follows the RBI's cut in the Repo Rate from 6.00% to 5.50%. The bank's markup component over the repo rate remains unchanged at 2.65%. This revision applies across BRLLR-linked loan products, including home loans, personal loans, and corporate loans benchmarked to BRLLR.
Lower lending rates may benefit existing and new borrowers with BRLLR-linked loans through reduced EMIs or interest costs. However, this also signals pressure on the bank's net interest margins, and deposit rates may be revised downward subsequently.
