Bank of Baroda reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs. 5,616 crores for Q4 FY26, up 11.2% YoY, with full-year net profit crossing Rs. 20,000 crores for the first time. Global business crossed Rs. 30 lakh crores milestone with 13.9% YoY growth. Advances grew 16.2% (domestic 14.5%, international 24.4%) while deposits grew 12%. The bank upgraded its loan growth guidance from 11-13% to 12-14% and deposit growth from 9-11% to 10-12%. NIM improved 10 bps sequentially to 2.89%. Asset quality remains robust with GNPA at 1.89% and Net NPA below 1% at 0.45%. The bank created a Rs. 1,500 crore floating provision from IT refunds to strengthen balance sheet. New initiatives include a pension fund subsidiary (6-9 months timeline), operational PD subsidiary from April 1, 2026, and plans to raise Rs. 6,000 crore via AT-1/Tier-2 bonds. The bank also launched a green infrastructure bond of Rs. 10,000 crore.
Strong Q4 and FY26 results with record profits demonstrate the bank's consistent performance (ROA above 1% for 15 consecutive quarters). The upward revision in growth guidance signals management confidence in maintaining momentum despite geopolitical headwinds. The Rs. 1,500 crore floating provision provides additional buffer against potential asset quality deterioration from West Asia conflict impact on MSME and overseas operations.
