Bank of India reported strong FY26 results with global business crossing ₹16.99 lakh crore, up 14.57% YoY. Global advances grew 15.82% to ₹7.71 lakh crore while deposits rose 13.56% to ₹9.27 lakh crore. Net profit increased 14.85% to ₹10,527 crore. Asset quality improved significantly — Gross NPA fell 129 basis points to 1.98% and Net NPA fell 26 basis points to 0.56%, with provision coverage at 93.57%. RAM segment (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) grew strongly at 19.11%, with Retail advances up 21.19% and MSME up 17.68%. Digital lending surged with 28.6 lakh loans (up 24%) and ₹1.28 lakh crore sanction value (up 87% YoY). Capital position is robust with CRAR at 18.01% and CET-1 at 15.05%. However, NIM compressed to 2.52% from 2.82% in FY25, indicating margin pressure in a declining rate environment.
The bank delivered a healthy 14.85% profit growth backed by strong loan growth and improved asset quality, but the 30 bps NIM compression signals margin pressure. The strong digital lending momentum and improving credit metrics are positives for long-term investors.
