Bank of India reported a strong FY26 with net profit surging 14.19% YoY to ₹10,527 crore, driven by 15.82% growth in global advances crossing ₹7.71 lakh crore and 13.56% growth in deposits at ₹9.27 lakh crore. Q4FY26 net profit grew 14.85% YoY to ₹3,016 crore. Asset quality saw major improvement with Gross NPA ratio falling 129 bps to 1.98% and Net NPA at 0.56%, while provision coverage ratio (PCR) rose to 93.57%. RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) advances grew 21.19%, 17.60%, and 17.68% respectively, now comprising 58.74% of total advances. Capital adequacy stands comfortable at 18.01%. NIM compressed 30 bps YoY to 2.52% globally for the full year.
Strong profitability growth combined with significant improvement in asset quality is a positive signal for the stock. The shift toward higher-quality RAM advances and declining NPAs suggest improving loan book quality. NIM compression warrants monitoring as it could pressure future margins.
